Portfolio     of     a     Librarian

Librarian   and  more

When asked, "Are libraries and librarians needed?" the answer is always--Yes.  Because, as long as we are human with needs for information, creativity, social interaction and thought provoking activities we will need places to go that combine all of those things.

Libraries are everywhere and are filled with Librarians who have a zest for life and learning and books that take your imagination any where you want to go, and technology that propels you into the future.  Travel with me through my portfolio for a view of my library journey.

libraries   are    tunnels   to   the   future

Education   is   not   a   destination,   it   is   a   journey

My vision is to change the perceptions of what people think about libraries.  Libraries are more than books.
As gateways to knowledge and culture, libraries play a fundamental role in educating society. The resources and services they provide  support literacy and education, inspire new ideas and perspectives that are needed to create an innovative society.
Education, learning, life is a journey not a destination.  No one knows where this quote originated but the philosophy suggests continuous activity not stagnation and dormancy.  Education is an adventure with risks and reward, straight roads and bumpy roads.  The fortunate never get to the finish line but stay lifelong learners.
