An Ordinary Man: Black Power in Overalls by Elizabeth Jean Brumfield
Historical genealogy is defined as the study of ordinary people's lives in their immediate relationships and wider impact on society. This book chronicles the life of an ordinary man who lived through unique times in American history, Jim Crow, WWII, and Civil Rights. While his name may not be familiar to many his determination to fight discrimination led to legal changes in how unions admit members. http://www.yourbook.com/BookInfo/IP44713-12.asp http://www.blogtalkradio.com/thiswomanswords/2013/02/17/an-ordinary-man-black-power-in-overalls |
