Missy Harvey served as the Technology and Communication Coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine; Computer Science Librarian, Carnegie Mellon University; Adjunct Instructor at Drexel University, Simmons University and University of Pittsburgh. Harvey's career in libraries began at Yale University and included starting a library for Sun Microsystems in Silicon Valley. She is currently an Academic Library and Research Consultant. She taught more than 2500 library science students, for which she received a 2010 Teaching Excellence Award
